Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Lowcountry Code Labs LLC (“Deskless,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Deskless mobile applications and the deskless.app website. This policy explains what information is handled when you use them.
Information you provide
- Email address: when you subscribe to product updates or contact support.
- Support content: messages, screenshots, and technical details you choose to send us.
- Purchase information: Apple or Google processes payment details. The app receives only the transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock features.
Information handled on your device
Source code, repositories, files, editor state, scratchpad content, Git credentials, and AI provider keys are stored locally. Credentials use the secure storage facilities provided by your operating system. We do not have routine access to this information.
AI features
When you choose a cloud AI feature, Deskless sends the prompt and the project context you selected directly from your device to the provider you configured. We do not proxy, store, or inspect that request. The provider’s privacy policy and terms apply. Review proposed changes before applying them and avoid sending secrets or data you are not authorized to share.
Git services
When you clone, pull, or push, your device communicates directly with the Git server you choose. Deskless does not operate an intermediary Git service. Your Git host’s policies apply.
Website analytics
Our website uses limited, privacy-oriented traffic measurement so we can understand aggregate page visits and download-button use. It is not used to build advertising profiles or inspect app projects. Standard web server logs may also process IP address, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and referring pages for security and operations.
Information we do not collect from the app
- Your source code, repository contents, or local files
- Your Git credentials, authentication tokens, or AI API keys
- Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data
- Analytics about the code you write or the prompts you send
How we use information
We use the limited information we receive to provide support, send communications you requested, maintain service security, understand aggregate website traffic, verify purchase entitlement, comply with law, and improve Deskless.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be handled by Apple or Google for distribution and purchases, our email provider for requested updates, our website infrastructure provider, and services you intentionally connect such as a Git host or AI provider. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you remove it. Support records are retained as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and maintain business records. Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to legal obligations.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email, delete local app data by removing it from your device, revoke credentials with the relevant provider, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we control. Rights vary by location.
Children
Deskless is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as Deskless evolves. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, website, or email where appropriate.
